Comedy is finally finding its independent stand in India. Men were the ones who were ruling it for a long time until a few women stepped up and changed that. This is for the women who are incredibly hilarious and are worth the limelight.
1. Anuradha Menon: You might remember her as Lola Kutty but that was far from her best work. She has now moved on to stand up comedy with her original name Anu Menon.
2. Aditi Mittal: Mittal was one of the first women to start doing stand up comedy in India. She went on to be featured as one of the top 10 stand up comedians in India.

3. Radhika Vaz: This stand up comedian is not afraid to speak her mind. She broke the norm on how women should speak and dress. Make way for one of the best comedians we have in India today!

4. Kaneez Surkha: She is known as the Queen of Improvisation in India and although she was born and raised in South Africa she settled in India. Her comedy is quirky and her cute voice adds to the jokes. One of her best comedy bits is The General Fun Game Show, where she mocks all the game shows we’ve watched on TV over the past years. 5. Neeti Palta: This dog loving woman is one of the best comedians in India today. She brings this spark on stage every time she performs and has had the honor of being the first Indian stand up comedian to perform at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2013.
6. Urooj Asfaq: She is a young blooming comedian who has a bright future ahead. Urooj is part of the new show called Queens of Comedy on TLC. Her writing skills are awesome and her delivery is even better.
7. Sadiya Ali: She has never done stand up comedy before but has decided it is what she wants to do. Sadiya is the Top 8 featured on TLC’s Queens of Comedy. Her bits are on topics that comedians fear to joke about but she does it flawlessly leaving the crowd with uncontrollable laughter.
