TVF Pitchers Claims Its First Trophy: Are you an aspiring entrepreneur stuck at a 9-5 job? Further explaining the metaphor, Mr. Bhatti says, “Your job, as beer, is to flow into glasses, but being locked in the bottle won’t allow you to do so.”
Hence, the first step of starting up is quitting. And putting these preachings to practice is Hyderabad-based startup, LocalJao’s co-founder Arshad Azad, who has resigned from his job at a corporate firm to realise his startup dream.
Explaining his journey, Arshad said, “It was a while before I learnt about the show. In the due course, I received multiple messages and people, who knew of my startup dream, started addressing me as “Beer”. Annoyed with the consistent name-calling, I decided to take on YouTube, just to end up saying, with an awe face- “Mein Beer Hoon BC.”
Post watching the first episode, Arshad with his partners, finally sat down to prepare the business plan, which they had been procrastinating for months. The team had submitted and presented the plan at multiple startup Incubators and accelerators. Weeks later, they were successful in receiving positive responses from the Incubators, who had invited the team for collaboration.
“This time there was no – ‘Job karte-karte try karte hai yaar’ drama. The papers were down and the startup work was on. Thanks to what Pitchers taught us that startup and job cannot go hand in hand. Within weeks we designed prototype, named the company, brought an investing partner to the team, built information website and convinced over 100 clients for collaboration,” said Arshad.
Further, the team confirms that LocalJao’s office will sport a dedicated Jury Room where vital decisions will be taken.
