Tollywood star Mr. Akkineni Nagarjuna met with Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The meeting which was held on the 28th of October, Thursday, after the A.P., Cabinet meeting which is very crucial, to the issue of online movie ticket sales in the Telugu State. Recently, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) issued a Government Order (GO) announcing a new movie ticket portal. The YSRCP Government passed the order to set up a State run website for the online sale of cinema tickets in both single and multiplex theatres. The decision to enter the business of movie tickets was taken to ensure corruption free ticket selling and tax evasion from private companies.
According to sources, Mr. Akkineni Nagarjuna specially came to Andhra Pradesh from Hyderabad, on a special flight to meet the State Chief Minister, today afternoon. Along with Mr. Nagarjuna, other film personalities including filmmaker Mr. Pritam Reddy and Mr. Niranjan Reddy also met with the A.P., Chief Minister at the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Camp Office in Tadepalli.
Post the meeting, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr. Akkineni Nagarjuna and other Tollywood celebrities had lunch together.
However, the details of today’s sudden meeting are awaited, it is expected to be due to the film industry’s online movie ticket sale. In addition, the actors and the State CM are expected to have a detailed discussion regarding the development of the movie industry in Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, Mr. Akkineni Nagarjuna also expressed gratitude to Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy for giving permission for four shows in the State, with 100 % theatrical occupancy.
After the meeting, Mr. Akkineni Nagarjuna addressed the media and said, “Its been so long since Ive met CM Jagan.That is why I came to Vijayawada.I had lunch with Jagan.”
