Dammalapati Srinivas was the Advocate General during the rule of N. Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

In 2014, Mr. Srinivas bought lands under the names of his uncle and brother in law.

In 2015 and 2016 Mr. Srinivas and his wife changed the names of the same lands.

After an initial investigation, the ACB came to the conclusion that the lands had been bought by Dammalapati which are under the purview of CRDA Core Capital.

Earlier, the ACB registered a case against the Amaravati capital land scam and were investing the trading and scams during the previous Government, the Telugu Desam Party.

The investigation started after the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) repeatedly alleged a big scandal over Amaravati lands during the TDP rule.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, also criticized several times in this regard.

The ruling YSRCP has repeatedly demanded an inquiry into the matter by the ACB.
