In Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district, a tragic accident was reported on the 29th of May, Monday, costing the loss of four lives.
According to sources, the unfortunate accident occurred near Tripurantakam in the Prakasam district, when a car collided with a Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus. The bus and the car were driving on the flyover bridge along the Anantapur – Amaravati express highway.
According to eyewitnesses, around 10: 15 P.M., on the 28th of May, Sunday, a car, carrying six passengers, was ascending the flyover on the wrong route service road and failed to notice the approaching RTC bus, traveling at a high speed. Due to the collision, three people of the four died on spot, whereas one succumbed to injuries. In addition, two others are said to have suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital. The bodies were shifted by the local police, who rushed to the spot and provided aid.
As per the police, the deceased are identified as Sai (26,) Pilli Srinivas (23,) Chandrasekhar (25) and Shankar (18.)
The police registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
