Andhra Pradesh COVID-19 Cases Rises To 12

The increased cases of the Novel Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) created panic amongst the citizens of the State.  The Andhra Pradesh Government reported another new COVID-19 case from Visakhapatnam increasing the number to 12.

On the 27th of March, the State Government reported the 12th confirmed case of COVID-19.  The new case is said to be a direct transmission of the virus from a positive case. The infected person got the virus from a 25 year old man, who had a travel history of Birmingham, England.  The 25 year old reached Visakhapatnam on the 17th of March through Delhi and developed the symptoms of COVID on the 19th of March. On the 19th of March, the 25 year old man was admitted to a hospital in Visakhapatnam for treatment.

Later, on the 20th of March, the 12th patient of COVID-19 and a close acquaintance of the 25 year old man started developing the symptoms of the virus and was admitted in an isolation ward.

On the 27th of March, the 12th patient was confirmed COVID-19 positive and is undergoing treatment in a hospital of Visakhapatnam.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) arranged 23,479 beds with quarantine facilities like 5.45 lakh N-95 masks, 1.3 lakh personal protection equipment kits (PPE) and others.

As of now, as many as 27,929 foreign returnees are under isolation, whereas 99 people with the symptoms of COVID-19 are under observation at hospitals in A.P.

Meanwhile, 384 samples are sent for COVID-19 tests.  317 are negative, whereas the remaining saaple’s results are yet to come.
