Andhra Pradesh COVID-19 Update – 71 Fresh Coronavirus Cases Recorded In 24 Hours

Andhra Pradesh reported 71 fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus on the 30th of April, taking the total tally to 1,403.

The rapid increase in the positive cases could be due to the intensive testing of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection.  After the State Government imported rapid testing kits from South Korea, the State Medical department increased the testing every day, resulting in a fast increase in the positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

Once again, Kurnool, Guntur, Krishna and Chittoor are those districts, reporting the highest number of fresh cases.  Out of the total 71 fresh cases, 43 were from Kurnool, 10 from Krishna,  4 from Guntur and 3 from Chittoor.   With these increased cases, Kurnool has 386 cases, Guntur has 287, Krishna has 246 and Chittoor has 80 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. 

Remaining 11 cases were from Y.S.R. (4,) Anantapur (3,) East Godavari (2)  and Nellore (2.)

The Andhra Pradesh Medical department is conducting a fast test for COVID-19, based on surveys by village volunteers, severe acute respiratory infections (SAARI) patients and residents of red zone areas showing mild symptoms.

On the 29th  of April, Andhra Pradesh tested 6,497 samples,whereas so far, 94,558 samples were collected and tested for the Novel Coronavirus.

As of 2:00 P.M., on the 30th of April, Andhra Pradesh has 1,051 active cases, 321 recovered/ discharged cases and 31 deceased.
