Andhra Pradesh – First Collector’s Conference After YSRCP Comes To Power

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 24th of June, conducted a two day conference meeting with the collectors of the State.

The meeting is the first collector’s conference held by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) after being in power.

During the meeting, Y. S. Jagan took decisions related to the illegal constructions in the State, corruption related issues and the welfare schemes for the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The two day conference started at 10:00 A.M., at Praja Vedika building in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.

L.V. Subrahmanyam, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, welcomed all the collectors and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

During the conference, Mr. Reddy said also ordered for the demolition of the Praja Vedika building as it was illegally constructed under the Telugu Desam Party’s rule.

Apart from this, Jagan also announced the implementation of the Navaratnalu scheme for those residents of the State who belong to the Scheduled Castes (SCs,) the Scheduled Tribes (STs) and the Backward Classes (BCs.)

He said, “If we violate rules, do we have any moral right to tell people to be righteous?” He further said, “While the building was constructed there was a lot of corruption.”

Jagan Mohan Reddy also announced distribution of Rs. 25 lakh house site pattas on Ugadi.

The demolition of the Praja Vedika building will be held on the 26th of June, after the two day collector’s conference.

The two day collector’s conference is scheduled on the 24th and 25th of June.
