Andhra Pradesh Government Allocates 1 Cores Each To State Districts For Covid-19 Centres

On the 11th of July, the Andhra Pradesh Government, ordered Rs. 1 crore to each district of Andhra Pradesh to fight the Novel Coronavirus infection.

The decision was taken as a precautionary measure to control the spread of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection.

The released amount would be used for the maintenance of the COVID-19 infection.

In addition, the amount would also be used for medical facilities, medical equipment and the setting up of the Novel Coronavirus centres in each district.

Krishna Babu, the Coordinating Control Nodal Officer for Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh said, the responsibility of supervision of these centers will be entrusted to the District Joint Collectors.

Mr. Babu said, 45,240 beds were ready in 76 COVID-19 care centers across the State.

Krishna Babu also directed the authorities to increase the number of beds in quarantine centers.

In addition, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) also allocated Rs. 500 / day for the food of a Coronavirus infected patient in quarantine centres.

Any district authority or COVID-19 centres misusing the allocated money for the Novel Coronavirus, would face strict actions against them.

Meanwhile, Till the 11th of July, Andhra Pradesh recorded a total of 25,422 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Of the total, 11,936 cases are active cases, 13,194 are recovered/discharged cases and 292 deceased.
