Mr. Biswabhusan Harichandan, the Andhra Pradesh Governor and his wife Ms. Suprava Harichandan visited the Kanak Durga Temple in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)
On the 7th of October, Thursday, the couple visited the Durga temple and offered prayers. Mr. Vellampalli Srinivas, the Endowments Minister of A.P., Mr. Malladi Vishnu, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA,) Mr. Paila Sominaidu, the Chairman of the Governing Body of the Temple and the Executive Officer (EO) of the Temple welcomed the couple at the temple.
After the visit, the State Governor addressed the media and extended Navratri and Dussehra wishes to the people of A.P. He expressed happiness that he visited the Durga temple on the first day of Navaratri. It is to be noted, from the 7th of October, the nine days Navratri celebration started in India.
During the visit, Mr. Biswabhusan Harichandan asked the authorities to make arrangements at the Durga temple, following the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines.
After the visit of Mr. Biswabhusan Harichandan, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., is also scheduled to visit the Kanaka Durga Temple on the 12th of October.
