Jindal South West (JSW) Energy Limited is soon going to set up a solar power plant in Kiltampalem of S. Kota Mandal, Andhra Pradesh.
The solar power plant would be of 250 MW capacity, covering approximately 650 acres of land in the villages of Chettipalayam, Kiltampalem and Pedakhandepalli. The project is said to be worth Rs. 2,000 crores.
Tapas, the General Manager of the JSW, Rachuri Kanakarao, the Director and head of the project and Vishal Soni, the Manager of the Company, scrutinised JSW’s land near Kiltampalem and confirmed the news.
JSW said they are planning to set up the plant, which would provide employment to approximately 600 people in the region.
The Company bought 1,165 acres of land in the area and plans to construct a solar plant, paint industry, Brandix style textile park and others.
The plans to use the land properly are in the process of being finalised.
