K.Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 12th of August, left for Kanchipuram to worship Athi Varadaraja Swamy.
KCR left in a special aircraft and landed at Tirupati International Airport, on the afternoon of the 12th of August.
Minister and members of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) such as Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, P. Mithun Reddy, R.K. Roja, B. Madhusudhan Reddy, N. Venkate Gouda, M.S. Babu and K. Adimulam, welcomed KCR.
Dr. N. Bharat Gupta, the District Collector of Tirupati, K.K.N. Anburajan, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Tirupati Urban, V. Kanakanarasa Reddy, the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) of Tirupati and S. Suresh, the Airport Director, were also present to welcome KCR.
After reaching Tirupati, KCR left for Kanchipuram and worshipped Athi Varadaraja Swamy, whose standing position darshan will be available till the 15th of August.
Usually, Athi Varadaraja Swamy is in a lying position and his darshan in the standing position, resembling Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala, will be available next after 40 years.
While going to the temple, KCR visited R.K. Roja’s residence in Nagari.
KCR is expected to be back to Hyderabad on the evening of the 12th of August.
