Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, on the 30th of May, administered the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. After taking the oath, Jagan made several promises to the citizens of AP.
One of the major promises of Jagan Mohan Reddy as the Chief Minister is to provide 4 lakh jobs to the youth by the 15th of August.
In addition, Jagan also promised to ban liquor in the State, which would be done in three phases. He further said, he will try to prohibit liquor completely in 5 years.
Mr. Jagan also said, the Party will help provide jobs to volunteers, who will be appointed to all the villages of Andhra Pradesh, to make sure every Government scheme reaches the people.
Every 50 houses of a village will have a volunteer to make them understand the Government’s schemes for their benefit. Every volunteer will be given a sum of Rs. 5,000 as salary.
The other commitments of Mr. Reddy include a corruption free State, the implementation of the Navaratnalu scheme and other welfare schemes during his tenure.
Mr. Reddy will take over as the CM of Andhra Pradesh from the 1st of June.
