Murilakrishna, an advocate from Kovur, on the 26th of May, filed a police complaint against Lagadapati Rajagopal.

The complaint was filed against Lagadapatti in connection with the survey of the polls during the elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Lagadapati Rajagopal is an Industrialist and former politician in Andhra Pradesh. He also served as a Member of Parliament (MP) of Vijayawada in the 2009.

Mr. Rajagopal quit politics and resigned as the MP of Vijayawada after the Telangana Bill was passed on the 20th of February 2014.

Mr. Rajagopal conducted an exit polls survey of the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, which was held on the 11th of April.

According to Rajagopal’s survey, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was expected to win a majority of 90 seats, whereas the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) stood to win 70 seats.

However, after the results of the AP elections were announced on the 23rd of May, Rajagopal’s predictions turned out wrong. YSRCP secured 150 Assembly seats and TDP managed 20 seats.

Mr. Murilakrishna in his complaint said due to the surveys of Lagadapati Rajagopal many people were at losses.

Murilakrishna also demanded to find out the people who conducted surveys for Rajagopal and take strict action against them.

The police in Kovur registered the complaint and said they will initiate an investigation into the matter and take necessary actions.

Stay tuned for further updates.
