Pushpa Sreevani, the Minister of the Tribal And Welfare Affairs of Andhra Pradesh (AP) signed her first paper after taking over the post.
Pushpa Sreevani is one of the Deputy Chief Ministers of the Cabinet of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
On the 20th of June, Ms. Sreevani signed a document concerning the rise of the salary of health workers in tribal villages from Rs. 400 to Rs. 4,000.
During the event, when Ms. Sreevani signed the documents, Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Kolghatla, Bhagyalakshmi, Joga Rao and other Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) were present.
Ms. Sreevani said, “We will maintain the trust of CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by providing transparent governance in the tribal welfare department.”
On behalf of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Ms. Srivani said, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will keep the promises and fulfil the responsibility of the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the citizens of AP.
She also said, his Party, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) will provide lakhs of rupees under the scheme for the tribal weddings and improving the educational opportunities for tribal females.
Pushpa Sreevani also criticised N. Chandrababu Naidu for neglecting the tribal people and not working towards their development. She said, “In the past, Chandrababu had seen the tribals as untouchables and had not been given the ministerial position, the deputy chief minister of the tribes (sic.)”
Ms. Pushpa Sreevani handles the Tribal Welfare Department under the Cabinet of the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
