The Andhra Pradesh Medical Department, on the 2nd of September confirmed 10,392 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in 24 hours.
In the past few weeks, Andhra Pradesh is reporting a massive increase in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
In August, the single day spike reached a minimum of 10,000 per day cases.
The State is on the edge to complete 5 lakh cases soon.
The top districts of Andhra Pradesh with the highest number of the active Novel Coronavirus cases are East Godavari 19,114, followed by Prakasam (11,122,) Chittoor (9,394,) Vizianagram (8,163,) Guntur (7, 844) and Kadapa (7, 585.)
On the 2nd of September, Andhra Pradesh reported 10,392 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Of the total, 810 was from Anantapur, 1,124 from Chittoor, 1,199 from East Godavari, 900 from Guntur, 800 from Kadapa, 397 from Krishna, 697 Kurnool, 942 Nellore, 800 Prakasam, 603 Srikakulam, 675 Visakhapatnam, 560 from Vizianagram and 885 from West Godavari.
In the past 24 hours, 8,454 people have been discharged with perfect health and 72 have died from the virus.
The State Health department confirmed a total of 4,55,531 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Of the total 1,03,076 are active cases, 3,48,330 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,041 are deceased cases.
In addition, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 0.09 % , the average growth rate of the infection is 2.80 % and the recovery rate now is 76.50 %.
Till the 2nd of September, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 38,43,550 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
The total population of the State as per 2019 data is 5,22,21,000.
