On the 9th of July, the Andhra Pradesh Health department confirmed 1,555 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
With the new cases, the total reached to 23,814 cases till date.
Meanwhile, the number of deceased with 13 new cases reached a total of 277 in the past 24 hours.
With these updates, Andhra Pradesh has a total of 11,383 active cases,12,154 recovered/discharged cases and 277 deceased.
Of the total 1,555 cases, 228 were from Guntur, 78 from Kurnool, Anantapur (91,) Krishna (127,) East Godavari (47,) Chittoor (236,) Kadapa (114,) West Godavari (17,) Visakhapatnam (208,) Nellore (31,) Prakasam (96,) Srikakulam (206) and Vizianagaram (26.)
The remaining 54 are from different states (53) and foreign country (1.)
In addition, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 1.16% , the average growth rate of the infection is 7% and the recovery rate is 51.04%.
Till the 9th of July, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 10,94,615 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
The total population of the State as per 2019 data is 5,22,21,000.
