On the 19th of October, Andhra Pradesh reported 2,918 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
This is the first time since a months, the State reported cases below 3,000 instead of 7,000 to 10,000.
Of the total new cases, the highest number of cases were registered from East Godavari (468,) followed by West Godavari (447, )Chittoor (380,) Guntur (333) and Prakasam (308.)
In addition, the Andhra Pradesh Health Department conducted as many as 61,330 tests for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 taking the total to 71,27,533.
With these updates, Andhra Pradesh recorded 7,86,050 positive cases, of which 35,065 are active cases, 7,44,532 are recovered/discharged cases and 6,543 deceased.
In addition, the recovery rate of Andhra Pradesh in terms of COVID-19 is above 90 %.
