Andhra Pradesh, which was reporting a massive increase in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases, reduced in the past few days.
In August, the single day spike reached a minimum of 10,000 per day. However, in the past few days single day cases dropped to 7,000.
With the updated cases, the State is on the edge to complete 6.5 lakh cases soon.
On the 23rd of September Andhra Pradesh reported 7,228 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
According to the Health Department of Andhra Pradesh, in the last 24 hours nearly 72,832 samples were tested for COVID-19 infection.
In the past 24 hours, 8,291 people have been discharged with perfect health and 45 died.
The State Health Department confirmed a total of 6,46,530 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Of the total 70,357 are active cases, 5,70,667 are recovered/discharged cases and 5,506 are deceased cases.
In addition, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 0.90 %, the average growth rate of the infection is now 10.90 % from the previous 11 %. The recovery rate is at 88.30 %.
Till the 23rd of September, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 53,02,367 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
The total population of the State as per 2019 data is 5,22,21,000.
