Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Shut After Employees Test COVID-19 Positive

On the 1st of June, the Andhra Pradesh State Government shut two blocks of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat as an employee tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The employees in two blocks have been asked to work from home and all five blocks of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat are closed temporarily and being sanitized.

The employee who tested positive was amongst those who returned to  Amaravati on the 27th of May from Hyderabad.

The Andhra Pradesh Government organised a special bus for all the stranded employees of A.P., secretariat in Hyderabad., Telangana.

Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, Andhra Pradesh reported 105 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, including cases of the A.P. secretariat.

With these updates, Andhra Pradesh has a total of 3,674 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with 64.

Out of 105 new cases, 76 are state residents, one foreign returnee and 28 people who came from other states.

In regard to this, despite relaxations from the lockdown rules in the lockdown 5.0., the State Government remained on the borders of A.P., shut for inter state movement.
