The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) is going to host the first Test match between India and South Africa, at the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
The Test match will begin on the 2nd of October and will continue till the 6th of October.
On the 9th of September, the ACA constituted an organising committee headed by V. Vinay Chand, the District Collector. He will also be responsible for the arrangements for the Test match between India and South Africa.
The decision regarding the Test match and the committee was taken during a meeting held on the 9th of September.
R.K. Meena, the Commissioner of Police of Visakhapatnam, G. Srijana, the Commissioner of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC,) G.V.G.K. Rangaraju, the President of the ACA, Arun Kumar, the Secretary of the ACA, Treasurer K.S. Ramachandra Rao, K. Pardhasaradhi, the Secretary of the Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association (VDCA) Cricket Stadium, C.R. Mohan, the Media Manager of the ACA and other officials of the VDCA attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Rangaraju asked the district officials to cooperate and make the Test match a big success.
Arun Kumar informed approximately 2,000 students will be allowed to witness the match free of cost every day.
India will play 3 Test matches against South Africa. The Test matches will begin on the 2nd of October and will continue till the 23rd of October.
The other two Test matches are scheduled to be held in Maharashtra and Ranchi.
