Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) concluded the 15th Legislative Assembly of AP with his speech.

On the 18th of June, during the AP Legislative Assembly, Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke about the promises and initiatives which will be taken by the new Government of AP.

Mr. Reddy said, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) will work on making AP a corruption free State and also work for the welfare of the citizens.

The YSRCP Government will follow the footsteps of late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the former Chief Minister of AP and implement the Navaratnalu scheme for the development of the State and its people.

Mr. Jagan said, “We are working for a change in this spoiled political system. We will do the same with what is said on foot. The three-week-old regime is similar. We have taken steps to change the spoiled system from the village to the assembly. Even today, in the state, a village, mud, ration card, house, caste certificate, birth, death, insurance, corporation, etc., were robbed of the bribe including the toilet. We came here with the decision to completely change the system from top to bottom. I asked for my 3468 kilometre festivities. Give me a chance. I asked people to change this corrupt political system. God bless. People cast 50% of the votes for us and gave us 151 MLA seats. My goal is to provide a righteous regime. We have taken steps to set up a Judicial Commission. We provide a transparent regime to look after our people throughout the country (sic.)”

Mr. Jagan also slammed Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the former Chief Minister of AP.

He criticised Naidu for not working towards the development of the State and said, “If Chandrababu had asked the Planning Commission, he would have been given special status. It is amazing to see him go to the mainland again.”

Jagan Mohan Reddy concluded his speech by thanking E.S. L. Narasimhan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

The AP Legislative Assembly session started from the 12th of June and continued till the 18th of June.

Stay tuned for further updates.
