Tollywood actor Ram Charan Tej, on the 7th of April, announced, he would campaign for the Pawan Kalyan led JanaSena Party, ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Ram Charan started campaigning for the JanaSena Party from the 7th of April and as of now, has addressed public rallies at Anakapalle, Pendurthi and Gajuwaka, in Andhra Pradesh.

As Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party and Ram Charan’s uncle, is unwell, Ram Charan decided to continue the campaigns in the State on behalf of Mr. Kalyan.

According to sources, Pawan Kalyan has been ill since a few days, following which, the doctors asked him to take complete rest and avoid campaigning.

Ram Charan will continue the campaign for Pawan Kalyan till the 9th of April.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI,) the 9th of April is the last day for the political parties to conduct their campaigns in the States contesting the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the first phase.

Approximately 20 states will contest the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the first phase, scheduled on the 11th of April.

Speaking about Ram Charan’s schedule, he will address public rallies in East Godavari and West Godavari, on the 8th and 9th of April respectively.

Ram Charan is a superstar of the Tollywood industry and would benefit the JanaSenaParty, as he has a huge fan following.

Apart from Ram Charan, Naga Babu, Allu Arjun and other Tollywood actors are also campaigning for the JanaSena Party.

The JanaSena Party is one of the strongest opposition parties in the upcoming AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively.

The Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are scheduled on the 11th of April.

The major parties contesting in Andhra Pradesh are the Telugu Desam Party (TDP, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party(YSRCP) and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
