N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) and Arvind Kejriwal, the CM of Delhi, on the 28th of March, will campaign in Vijayawada.

The roadshow is as a part of the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) campaign, ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Arvind Kejriwal, the President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP,) reached Andhra Pradesh to extend his support to the TDP and join Naidu during the latter’s campaign across AP.

Both Naidu and Kejriwal will address public meetings in the villages of Vijayawada district. The national parties across India, such as the AAP, the Trinamool Congress (TMC,) the National Conference and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP,) will be the star campaigners in AP.

The support came after Naidu’s multiple attempts to unite all the anti Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parties and fight together against the BJP.

Mr. Naidu even discussed a pre poll alliance with Mamata Banerjee, the CM of West Bengal, Sharad Pawar, the NCP President, and Mr. Kejriwal. Although the alliance did not happen, the party leaders reached AP to show their support to the TDP.

Chandrababu Naidu’s strong relationship with political leaders from across India would be of great benefit to the Party in the upcoming AP elections.

The TDP, the ruling Government in AP, is a major party in the State and could give neck to neck competition to the other opposition parties in the upcoming elections.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively. The elections in the State are scheduled to be held on the 11th of April 2019.

The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are the TDP, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.

Stay tuned for further updates about the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
