AP Assembly Speaker Lashes Out At TDP MLAs

Tammineni Sitaram, the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, lashed out at Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs.)

On the 20th of January, during the A.P., Assembly session, Tammineni Sitaram got angry at the TDP MLAs for interrupting the proceedings of the Assembly session and disturbing Botsa Satyanarayana, who was addressing the Assembly.

The TDP MLAs present during the Assembly were opposing the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Amendment Bill and decisions to approve the decentralization of the State’s three capitals.

One of the TDP MLAs even made abusive comments against Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

In order to stop the TDP MLAs, Tammineni Sitaram advised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government to launch a probe into the Amaravati land scam.  He even asked the TDP leaders “why they are afraid of the inquiry if they had not resorted to any crime.”

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy agreed to the Speaker’s advice and said the Government would probe the case.

The A.P., Assembly session to discuss the ongoing State capital issue is underway.

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly session would continue till the 22nd of January, 2020.

Stay tuned for further updates.
