AP Cabinet Meeting To Begin At 11 AM, VSP Privatisation And Panchayat Election Results Are Main Discussions

The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government is all set to conduct a Cabinet meeting on the 23rd of February.

Chaired by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., the meeting is scheduled ahead of the Budget Assembly session of Andhra Pradesh.

In today’s pre budget session cabinet meeting, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government is likely to discuss ongoing issues in the State.

One of the major topics for discussion would be the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) privatisation.

In regard to the VSP issue, the Cabinet is likely to approve a resolution. The resolution to protest against the Central Government’s decision would be passed in the upcoming Budget Assembly session. The Andhra Pradesh Budget session is likely to be held in March and the final schedule is yet to be announced.

Besides VSP Privatisation, budget plans and economic situation would also be a major matter of discussion today.

In addition, performance of the YSRCP Government during the recent panchayat elections would also be highlighted. The YSRCP secured 80.15 % of panchayat and ward seats in the recent Grama Panchayat elections.

Today’s meeting would also discuss the growth and development of Andhra Pradesh.

An agenda of almost 23 items was prepared which would be a part of today’s Cabinet meeting. Demands of the respective government departments in the budget meetings would also be given attention.

The A.P. Cabinet meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 A.M., on the 23rd of February.

All the YSRCP Cabinet ministers and senior leaders would attend the Cabinet meeting.
