The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials are interrogating Mr. Narayana, a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader, on the 18th of November, Friday.
The CID officials arrived at the residence of Mr. Narayana, the former minister in the Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet, for questioning into a case regarding the Amaravati Master Plan Inner Ring Road affair. Mr. Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) filed a complaint against Mr. Narayana, with the CID.
In the complaint, Mr. Alla Ramakrishna said, that Ramakrishna Housing, Heritage Foods, Legal Entity of Public Law (LEPL) Projects, Lingamaneni Agriculture Farms and Jayani Estate benefited from the irregularities conducted by Mr. Narayana, during his tenure between 2014 to 2018.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) allowed the CID officials to question Mr. Narayana regarding the irregularities. On the 17th of November, Thursday, the High Court even directed Mr. Narayana to cooperate with the interrogation and investigation into the case.
The Andhra Pradesh CID officials are in Hyderabad, at the residence of Mr. Narayana and are currently conducting the interrogation.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
