N.Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh, alleged K.Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the CM of Telangana, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, of conspiring against the Naidu led Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

On the 3rd of March, Chandrababu Naidu said, “Whoever speaks against Narendra Modi faces IT and ED raids. We will not be afraid of all these acts. We will fight for justice until we achieve it. I am speaking on behalf of 5 crore people. I will not tolerate any injustice to Telugus residing in any part of the world.” He further said, “I did not fear the bombs in the 2003 Maoist attack, how I can fear Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team?”

The statement of Mr. Naidu came after the Madhapur Police registered a case against the TDP and alleged the Party of misusing voters’ data through the Seva Mitra app, for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.

The case was registered after Lokeshwar Reddy, a data analyst, filed a complaint regarding the data theft.

The Madhapur Police took four staff of the IT Grid Private Limited, the company which developed the app, under their custody for interrogation. The four accused will be presented in the Hyderabad Court, on the 4th of March.

However, Ashok Dakavaram, the Director of the IT Grid, denied the allegations. Mr. Naidu claimed the action to be a tactic of the KCR led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) against the TDP.

Mr. Naidu said, the TRS is threatening Hyderabad based businessmen and forcing them to support Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

Naidu said, “People who are not willing to support Jagan Reddy (chief of YSR Congress) become victims of raids by Enforcement Directorate and income tax department.”

Mr. Naidu further claimed, in order to help Jagan Mohan Reddy and make him win the upcoming Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the TRS is playing dirty politics.

Speaking about the agenda of the TRS in supporting Jagan, Naidu said, if Jagan wins the elections, the power will be in the hands of the TRS as the TRS and the YSRCP joined hands to form an alliance.

The Working President of the TRS, K.T. Rama Rao, held several meetings with Jagan to plan the campaign strategies for the elections.

Andhra Pradesh will contest 175 Assembly seats and the elections are scheduled between April and May 2019. The major parties contesting are the YSRCP, the TDP and the JanaSena Party.
