AP CM Conducts Press Meet To Discuss COVID-19 And Its Precautions

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 1st of April, conducted a press meet briefing about the Novel Coronavirus.

The press meet was organised at 5:00 .M., addressing the public on the latest situation of the COVID-19 in the State.

During the press meet, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, briefed about the steps taken to control the Novel Coronavirus, as the number of COVID-19 cases increased rapidly in the last two days.

Highlights of the press meet by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy:

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “The rise of coronavirus positive cases in the state is alarming.  We recognize everyone who went to the Delhi Markaz gathering of religious event recently and those who are close to them.”

Jagan Mohan Reddy appealed to the people to not be discriminating towards the positive cases in the State.  He also urged the people to dial 104 and inform the Government and get the tests and treatment done for the COVID-19.

A total of 1,085 people from A.P., were a part of the Delhi religious gathering, out of which  585 tests were conducted.  While 70 were reported positive, remaining results are yet to come.

A survey will be conducted at each home with village volunteers, hopefuls and secretariat staff.

Private medical colleges, private hospitals and nursing homes should cooperate with the government in times of adversity.

The state’s financial situation is burdened by Corona’s remedial measures.

Till date, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 87 COVID-19 cases.
