AP CM Meets High Power Committee Regarding AP Capital Issue

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) met the High Power Committee appointed to study the decentralization of the State’s Capital, on the 17th of January.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) constituted a High Power Committee of 16 members to study the reports submitted by the G.N. Rao Committee and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG.)

The High Power Committee  submitted its report regarding the proposal of having 3 State capitals.  The Committee also gave a PowerPoint presentation to the Chief Minister.

The meeting was held at the CM Camp Office, where the Committee presented its recommendations to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

However, the final call regarding the 3 State capital proposal would be taken by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy after a Cabinet meeting and a special session of the A.P. Assembly.

Initially, the Cabinet meeting was scheduled to be held on the 18th of January, but due to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sudden trip to Delhi, the Cabinet meeting was rescheduled to the 20th of January.

Mr. Reddy is going to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on the 18th of January.

Mr. Reddy would leave for Delhi on the morning of the 18th of January, 2020.
