Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) was given the Diplomatic Passport, on the 20th of July.
Y.S. Jagan along with his wife Bharati Reddy went to the Regional Passport Office in Vijayawada and took his passport.
The Diplomatic Passport is given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to someone who holds the position of Chief Minister or works as a representative of the government.
Two months after becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gave Jagan Mohan Reddy his Diplomatic Passport.
Previously, the Diplomatic Passport was given to Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of AP and President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
However, after the AP election results, Chandrababu Naidu submitted his Diplomatic Passport to the concerned officials.
