AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Assures MLC Post To Son Of Late MP Durga Prasad Rao

 

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, announced the Member of the Legislation Council (MLC) post to the son of the late Member of Parliament (MP,) Durga Prasad Rao. 

Recently on the 16th of September 2020, the MP of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Mr. Durga Prasad, passed away. He tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus and died due to the same.

On the 20th of November, the family members of late Durga Prasad Rao, his son Kalyan Chakravarthy and wife Saralamma, met with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office.

Botcha Satyanarayana, a YSRCP member and the State Minister for the Municipal Administration accompanied them.

Mr. Satyanarayana addressed the media after the meeting and said Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy assured support to the family and the MLC post when the opportunity comes.

Speaking on the occasion, Balli Kalyan Chakravarthy said the Chief Minister had stood by his family ever since his father died due to the deadly Novel Coronavirus infection.

He said the Chief Minister had promised the MLC post for him in the first vacant position in the Council by elections.

Kalyan Chakravarthy also supported the YSRCP and wished for the victory of YSRCP in the upcoming bypoll to the Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency.
