AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Launches Amma Vodi Scheme

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) launched Jaganna Amma Vodi scheme in Chittoor district, in A.P.

According to sources, Mr. Reddy reached Tirupati around 11:15 A.M., following which he visited Chittoor. 

Later, he arrived at the P.V.K.S., Government College Grounds and saw the stalls set up by the students.  He also laid the foundation stones for various development programs in Chittoor. 

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the Amma Vodi scheme at 11:45 A. M., following which he addressed the public.

According to the Amma Vodi scheme, the State Government would give financial assistance to mothers in the State for the education of their children. 

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) allocated Rs. 6,421 crores for the same.

Approximately, 61,271 schools and 3,083 colleges are under the scheme. 

As many as 81,72,224 students from Class 1 to Class 12 would be provided education under the scheme.

The Amma Vodi scheme was one of the schemes promised by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy during his election campaigns and in the YSRCP’s manifesto.  The scheme would benefit as many as 3.19 lakh mothers in A.P.
