AP Education Ministry Announces Special Task Force For Prevention Of COVID-19 In Schools

The Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh, on the 5th of November, announced to take steps to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus in government schools in the State.

From the 2nd of November, government schools of Andhra Pradesh resumed classes for the students of class IX and X.

However, on the 4th of November, eight students of the government schools tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus.

Concerned about the safety of the students and to prevent the spread of the virus in schools, the State Education Department decided to form a special task force.

The special task force would supervise and review the management of the conduct of classes.

The Education Minister Mr. Suresh said they would review the management of classes 9 and 10 after three weeks.

The Minister said based on the conduct of these classes, the State Government would decide upon the next batch of the classes.

In addition, the Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh Adimulapu Suresh said the schools are following all the guidelines of the Novel Coronavirus prevention.

He said that the health of the students was the main goal and the authorities were alerted by getting information from all the districts from time to time. He also directed the authorities to take proper care of the sanitation conditions in the schools from time to time.

From the 2nd of November till the 4th of November, 100 % students’ attendance was recorded.
