The Finance Department of Andhra Pradesh, on the 2nd of August, cleared the pending salaries of government employees for the month of July.

The payment by the Andhra Pradesh Government was delayed due to a technical glitch, as the funds are transferred to the respective employee’s account through an electronic process.  The usual time to give the salaries is the 1st of every month.

After fixing the technical glitch, the AP Finance Department, which is responsible for the salaries, explained the reason behind the delay.

The Finance Department clarified their role and said the payment was not delayed because the AP Government is lacking funds, but because of the failure of e Seal certificates.

The AP Finance Department, at the end of the month, submits a file which has all the information about the payments of the State to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI.)  The RBI, on the 1st of every month, releases the funds and makes the payments through e Kuber.

The explanation of the State Government came after posts about the matter went viral on social media platforms.  According to the posts, lack of funds was the reason behind the delay in the payment of salaries to government employees.

The matter was finally resolved and the government employees were given their salaries.

Stay tuned for further updates.
