The Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 16th of May, announced to postponed the special Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) buses arranged for stranded people in Hyderabad.
The announcement came after the Central Government announced the release of a set of guidelines for the 4th lockdown, which is scheduled to begin from the 18th of May.
The nation wide lockdown 3.0, is proposed to end on the 17th of May, following which India would enter lockdown 4.0, with a new set of guidelines and relaxations across India.
In regard to this, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, which was supposed to start the special bus services from today, decided to postpone it till the Central Government’s new rules announcement.
Approximately 13,000 people are stranded in Hyderabad and Rangareddy district of Telangana since the 24th of March. In order to bring these stranded people back to their native places in A.P., the State Government decided to start the special services.
However the movement would only be allowed, if people travelling by these buses agree to be in quarantine centres for 14 days, after reaching their native places in A.P.
The tickets for the special buses would be available on the Spandana web portal.
Speaking about the routes of these buses, the A.P., Government would run buses from Garuda. Non AC buses from Miyapur-Bollaram cross roads, Kukatpally housing board and LB Nagar. All these buses would run non stop directly to their respective depots in AP with no halts anywhere.
