AP Government Releases Order To Provide Financial Assistance To COVID-19 Victims

The Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 4th of August, released a Government Order (GO) to release financial assistance to the Novel Coronavirus victims. 

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, decided to give financial assistance to the family of COVID-19 victims in the State.

In Andhra Pradesh, till date as many as 1,537 people died of the COVID-19 infection.

According to the released GO, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the families of those who died of COVID-19, would get Rs. 15,000 for the funeral expenses.

Jawahar Reddy, the Special Principal Secretary, Department of Health, issues the GO.

Mr. Reddy also directed the Medical Health Commissioner to release Rs. 12 crores to the respective district collectors for this purpose.

The Finance Ministry has also issued orders to release the funds immediately.

The State collectors were also instructed to give 5,000 to those who donated plasma in Andhra Pradesh.

The incentives were announced to create awareness regarding the plasma therapy and donation in the State.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 1,66,586 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Of the total cases, 76,377 are active cases, 88,672 are recovered/discharged and 1,537 are deceased till date.
