The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, on the 2nd of June, decided to lift the restrictions on intra state travel.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., who initially restricted intra state trains in A.P., now lifted the restrictions and permitting inclusive train journeys in the State

The intra State train journeys would run without any restrictions and tickets would be issued to people at the end stoppage.

However, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government sealed the borders restricting people from entering the State.

The people would only be allowed after getting an e pass from Andhra Pradesh and undergoing a medical test for the COVID-19 infection.

Andhra Pradesh was also one of the states, opposing the resumption of train services and asked the Central Government to decrease the trains and number of stoppage in between the routes.

The measures and restrictions were taken to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, especially with the people entering from different COVID-19 infected states.

Meanwhile, the State also allowed reopening of hotels and restaurants in Andhra Pradesh from the 8th of June.   Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) temple would also be open for darshan to devotees soon.

The intra state trains would also begin on the 4th of June.
