The Andhra Pradesh Government in order to promote the development of dairy farming in the State Government decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amul India. 

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) decided a strategic partnership with Amul.

 By utilizing the company’s experience, technology and widespread marketing, the Government is looking to strengthen the cooperative sector and ensure better prices for farmers. 

Chief Minister of A.P., Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a key review meeting on the

 development of dairy farming in the State. 

Following the meeting, the YSRCP Government decided to sign MoU.

Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu, Municipal Minister Botsaththayanarayana and Industry Minister Gautam Reddy also attended the meeting. Agriculture Mission Vice-Chairman Nagireddi, Special Chief Secretary of Agriculture Poonam Malakondaiah were present during the meeting.

Officials of the Agriculture department briefed the CM about the situation in the dairy industry in the state.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Amul would be signed by the officials by the 15th of July. 

Speaking on the occasion, CM said that dairy farmers should do better and get better rates for the milk they produce. Farmers should be able to get justice on price. Farmers should be given extra income and on the other hand the cooperative sector needs to be strengthened. The experience of dairy farming is to be utilized by the farmers in the state, the dairy farming, care, quality milk production, good rate for the farmers. 

The decision would enhance farming and dairy in Andhra Pradesh, benefiting farmers.
