After the demolition of the Praja Vedika building, the Andhra Pradesh (AP) Government is in full swing to demolish every illegal building in the State.

On the 28th of June, the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) served a notice to N. Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of AP, to vacate his Lingamneni guest house.

The Lingamneni guest house is the private residence of Chandrababu Naidu, where he stays with his family. After the Praja Vedika, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party is eyeing the Lingamneni house, which will soon be demolished, as it was illegally constructed.

During the AP elections, the YSRCP vowed to work towards a corruption free State and a transparent Government. In order to fulfill the promise, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is actively conducting review meetings.

After several conferences and meetings, Jagan Mohan Reddy issued an order, following which, the CRDA was authorised to demolish all the illegal buildings and houses in the State.

As of now, the revenue officials, based on their surveys, will issue a demolition notice to the owners of 8 illegal constructions. These buildings are damaging the Krishna river’s water flow.

The CRDA officials also accompanied the revenue officers while they were on a survey for the same. The team started finding out information regarding each construction and verified it with legal documents to make a strong case.

According to their research, the builders used more land than what they bought and filled the river bed with sand to support the construction of the houses. The allegations are not only regarding land issues, but also about violating the River Conservancy Act, 1884.

Based on the information collected, the revenue officers will send demolition notices to all the 8 illegal houses. This is expected to complete by the evening of the 28th of June.

Stay tuned for further updates.
