On the 74th Republic Day, on the 26th of January, Mr. Biswabhushan Harichandan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and other government officials extended greetings.
The Republic Day celebrations were held grandly at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium in Vijayawada, NTR district on Thursday, the 26th of January. State Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan unfurled the national flag and received the salute of the armed forces. He later watched tableau performance and cultural programs. CM Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, many public representatives and high officials participated in these celebrations
Speaking on the ocassion, the Governor praised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government schemes in Andhra Pradesh. He said, “Through DBT, Navaratna and Amma Vodi schemes are being provided to all those who are eligible.” He further added that students are being provided with nutritious food through the Jagananna Gorumudda scheme, books, clothes and school kit are provided through Jagananna Vidya Kanuka and lauded the government on introduction of English medium and CBSE syllabus is offered.
Mr. Biswabhushan Harichandan said that the YSRCP Government is working hard to provide quality education to the students.
In addition, Mr. Jagana Mohan Reddy also extended wished. He tweeted, “On the occasion of the completion of 73 years now, let us remember the founders of our constitution. Let’s walk in their footsteps and work for the development of the country.”
It is to be noted, the Republic Day celebrations were held on Thursday at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium in Vijayawada, NTR district.
