AP Govt Issues Orders Regarding Implementation Of English Medium In Govt Schools

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 23rd of March, decided to implement English Medium in all government schools of the State.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, issued a Government Order (GO) regarding the same.  From now onwards, all the public schools in A.P., it is mandatory to implement English medium for the students of class I to Class VI.

The implementation of the English medium would not affect the regional language, Telugu.  The State Government decided to maintain a Telugu medium school for each zone separately, where students can study in the Telugu medium.

If someone wants to study in Telugu medium, they will set up a Telugu medium school to suit them.  Besides, English in the public schools, the State Government is also planning to set up Urdu, Oriya, Kannada and Tamil medium schools in each zone. 

The implementation of the English medium in government schools would be done under the supervision of the Commissioner of School Education of Andhra Pradesh.
