AP Govt To Conduct Assembly Session Regarding Capital Issue

The Andhra Pradesh Government is scheduled to conduct a special State Assembly session on the 20th of January.

The session will be organised to discuss the ongoing State capital issue.  During the Assembly session, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) would review the recommendations of the G.N Rao Committee and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) regarding the State Government’s three capital proposal.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., proposed Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Kurnool as the State’s capitals.

Besides, the YSRCP would also study the recommendations and suggestions of the High Power Committee constituted by it.

Prior to the special Assembly session, the YSRCP would also conduct a Cabinet meeting on the 18th of January.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would chair the Cabinet meeting.  YSRCP officials, ministers and others are expected to attend the meeting.

Initially, the YSRCP decided to conduct the special Assembly session after the 26th of January, the Republic Day.  However, the YSRCP Government then preponed the dates. The Assembly session is expected to begin at 11:00 A.M., on the 20th of January.

Stay tuned for further updates.
