Anil Kumar Yadav, the Minister of Irrigation of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 16th of August, spoke about the drone which was found flying over the residence of N. Chandrababu Naidu.
On the 16th of August, two men were allegedly flying a drone over the residence of Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.) The incident came to light after the police, based on the information of the Intelligence Security Wing, arrested the men.
TDP activists and workers demanded an answer from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the ruling Government of AP, as to who permitted the men to fly the drone.
Anil Kumar Yadav finally spoke about the matter and said the men were asked to monitor the flood situation, as Naidu’s residence is situated on the bank of the Krishna river, Guntur district, AP.
Yadav said with the increase in flood water, the flow in the Prakasam barrage is also rising slowly, due to which, Naidu’s house could sink. He further added it is the responsibility of the State Government to protect the people who live in Karakatta and its nearby areas.
After explaining the reason behind the drone flying over Naidu’s residence, Anil Kumar Yadav slammed the TDP for creating a scene to gain people’s attention. Yadav also said the YSRCP Government informed Naidu regarding the flood situation a long time ago and said Naidu’s house may sink in case of a flood.
However, the Andhra Pradesh Police arrested the men and are investigating the case.
