AP JAC Conducts Praja Chaitanya Yatra Against 3 State Capitals Proposal

The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (JAC,) on the 9th of January, conducted a meeting in vijayawada, A.P.

After the meeting, the Committee started the Praja Chaitanya Yatra, organised against the proposal of three State capitals.

The yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the State Government proposed 3 State capitals_ Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Kurnool.  Though the official and final decision regarding the same is yet to be taken, citizens of A.P., especially farmers of Amaravati staged a protest against the Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP.

In the view of the Capital protests, the JAC and other committees in A.P., called for the Praja Chaitanya Yatra from Kalyana Mandapam near Benz Circle in Vijayawada to Machilipatnam.

Apart from farmers and committee members, opposition parties like the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) and the JanaSena Party also expected to be a part of the same.

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the TDP  along with Achchennaidu, Devineni Uma, Kanakamedala Ravindra and others would reach to Machilipatnam with the farmers.

After the yatra, the leaders are expected to address a public rally and intensify the protest.
