Shariff Mohammed Ahmed, the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
Mr. Shariff is currently being treated for the deadly virus at a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders wished for a speedy recovery of Mr. Shariff.
Recently many MLAs and MLCs of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana tested positive of the Novel Coronavirus.
While Andhra Pradesh has a total of 4,34,771 cases of COVID-19, Telangana reported 1,27,697 cases till date.
Both the Telugu states are witnessing a massive increase in the cases since past few weeks.
The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Government are trying all the possible measures to control the spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, India reported nearly 37 lakh cases till date.
