AP Mining Department Donates Highest Amount To CMRF To Fight COVID-19

The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, on the 2nd of April, reported Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) collected amount, which is near to 400 crores.

Several companies, actors, businessmen donated money to the CMRF to fight the COVID-19 or the Novel Coronavirus in the State.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) also announced a cut of 100 % salaries of its Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs,) Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs,) Members of Parliament (MPs) and other officials.  The salaries of all the officials would also be donated to the CMRF so the State Government could intensify the precautionary measure against the pandemic illness.

One of the highest donation collected was from the Mining department in A.P.

Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, the Mining Minister of A.P., handed a cheque of Rs. 200.11 crores.  The amount was pooled in by all emloyees of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development and mining departments.

The other departrments like the APMDC, donated an amount of Rs. 10.40 crores,  Mines annd Geology department gave Rs. 56 lakhs, the Employment Guarantee and Watershed employees donated Rs. 1.50 crores and the SERP employees  50 lakhs.
