Nara Lokesh, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) took to Twitter and criticised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) for taking credit for the Polavaram Project’s achievements.
On the 25th of June, Nara Lokesh, the son of Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and the President of the TDP, said, “YSRCP Government has been claiming the achievements of TDP Government on getting approval for Polavaram Irrigation project as theirs.”

Lokesh said, Chandrababu Naidu was the one who put in all efforts to get the approval for Polavaram DPR 2 to a tune of more than Rs. 55,000 crores.
However, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of AP and his Government, are claiming it as their efforts and success.
Nara Lokesh blamed the Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP for taking the credit and presenting the achievements as their own to the public.
He also asked the YSRCP President Jagan, “Since the central government accepted all the proposals sent by Chandrababu Naidu, where is the corruption involved in it?” He further asked the Central Government and the State Government to stop playing politics against the TDP. He said, “From here onwards, both BJP and YSRCP should stop mudslinging against the TDP Government and start working for development and welfare of the State.”
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy recently ordered for the resumption of work on Polavaram Project and also visited the site to review the development of the construction.
