AP Police Files Case Against JC Prabhakar Reddy, Alleges Of Manipulating Voters

 On the 27th of February, the Andhra Pradesh Police filed a case against J.C.Prabhakar Reddy, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)  Mr. Reddy was alleged of influencing voters to vote for the TDP in the upcoming Municipal elections.

According to the sources, the case was registered after a recent search at J.C. Prabhakar’s residence. 

Recently, on the 25th of February, the Andhra Pradesh police conducted a search at J.C. Prabhakar Reddy’s relative Gourinath Reddy’s house. 

During the search, the police found 60 cricket kits and filed a case against J.C. Prabhakar Reddy and his relative Gourinath Reddy.  The Police also alleged the TDP leader of violating the imposed Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in the State.  He was also charged for manipulating voters. 

The TDP leaders condemned charges against him and said it to be baseless.

The charges against Mr. Reddy came days ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections. 

The Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections are scheduled to be held on the 10th of March. 

The major parties contesting the Municipal elections are, the TDP, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the JanaSena Party.
