On the 16th of May, Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) reported 48 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus taking the total to 2,355 cases.
The Andhra Pradesh Health Department confirmed the fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus and said during the last 24 hours, the State medical department conducted a total of 9,628 blood samples, out of which only 48 tested positive for the infection.
Of the 48 cases 9 are from Kurnool, 9 are from Guntur, 7 from Krishna, 8 from Chittoor district, 9 from Nellore district, 1 from Kadapa, 1 from West Godavari and 4 from Visakhapatnam.
While the State reported 48 positive cases of COVID-19, it also recorded 101 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
Most of the recovered patients are from Kurnool (47) and Anantapur (37) districts. Remaining are from Krishna (5,) East Godavari (3,) Prakasam (3,) West Godavari (3,) Kadapa (2) and Visakhapatnam (1.)
Till the 16th of May, the State recorded 1,353 recovered cases and 953 active cases for the Novel Coronavirus with 49 deaths.
